A pensioner died yesterday following a two-car crash near Newquay which left both drivers in hospital with serious injuries. The 77-year-old woman was a passenger in a silver Nissan Almera being driven by a 78-year-old man, both from Truro, when it was in collision with a green Peugeot 307 at around 8.15pm on Thursday, on the A3058 at Summercourt. The pair, along with a 34-year-old woman from St Columb, who was driving the Peugeot, were taken to Treliske Hospital.
