An 86-year-old man is being treated in hospital for serious head injuries after his car crashed into a stone bank and overturned in North Devon. The man was driving a Honda Jazz on the B3234 at Lynton when the accident happened at about 2.30pm on Thursday. He suffered head injuries and was taken to North Devon District Hospital where his condition was initially described as life-threatening. The road was closed for several hours while police carried out an investigation of the scene.
