PENLEE Lifeboat has been called to help a group of water sports enthusiasts.
The Inshore Lifeboat crew received a first shout at around 12.30pm yesterday to help a canoeist in difficulty at Mullion Cove, on the Lizard Peninsula.
Cut off by the tide and struggling in strong currents, the canoeist was rescued from their craft by the coastguards.
A few hours later the Penlee team were scrambled to help two surfers who became separated from their boards in tough sea conditions around Porthleven. By the time the lifeboat arrived at the scene at around 4.30pm, the pair had already made their way back to shore.
