Cornwall was more popular than Barcelona in internet travel searches this year, according to Google.
The search engine giant produces an annual Zeitgeist list which measures trends and search terms from the previous year.
In a year where top trends include celebrities, royals and the Olympics, the eighth most popular search for travel is Cornwall, beating Edinburg and Barcelona in ninth and tenth places respectively.
Unsurprisingly the top travel search was the destination of Olympics 2016, Rio de Janeiro, followed by economically floundering Greece, and Brazil in third place.
London comes in at six, with European rival Paris piping the capital to the post, at fifth place.
