A woman had to be cut free from her car this morning after a two-vehicle-crash this morning in Mevagissey . The incident happened just before 7.30 on the road between Heligan and Mevagissey near the Lost Gardens of Heligan. A vehicle appears to have lost control and collided with a hedge. A second vehicle then also lost control and rolled. It took fire crews 25 minutes to cut the woman free from her green Fiat Punto whereon she was taken to hospital with spinal injuries. A male casualty, who was driving a Peugeot 107 registered to Bodmin, suffered minor injuries to his hand. Both were taken to Royal Cornwall Hospital, Treliske, by land ambulance.
