The sons of a GP found stabbed to death at his home in Cornwall have paid tribute to their father.
Police were called to a waterfront house in Feock near Truro where the body of 60-year-old Geraint Hughes, known as Gary, was found.
A 58-year-old woman, believed to be Mr Hughes' wife, Marion, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and taken to hospital for treatment of "non life-threatening" injuries.
This morning she was released from hospital and remains in police custody.
The family of Mr Hughes have today released the following tribute:
"We are devastated by the tragic loss of our devoted and caring father. He was always there for us and we cannot believe he is gone. The last time we were all together was at the wedding just six weeks ago. We will always cherish the happiness we shared as a family that day."
The couple's sons left tributes at the house at Trolver Croft, between Feock and Penpol on the banks of Restronguet Creek.
Mark Hughes, also thought to be a GP, left flowers and a joint message from him and his wife Jemma. The couple are understood to have married at the beginning of last month.
It said: "Miss you so much. I'll never be as good a father or doctor as you but I'll try.
"Just hope I can make you proud. Love, Mark and Jemma."
Sam Hughes left flowers and a message which said: "I miss you so much. Always been an amazing father throughout my lifetime. You will never be forgotten."
Dr Hughes, who had six sisters, came from a family of doctors and was senior partner at Clinton Road Surgery in Redruth.
Dr Hughes' sister, BBC Radio Cornwall presenter Nina Davey, said: "It's hugely shocking – he was the person who loved her the most.
"He was wonderful, absolutely wonderful and was loved by all. He was an amazing big brother and looked after everyone – just a lovely, lovely chap."
Joy Adamson, practice manager at the surgery, said: "All the doctors and staff were deeply saddened at the sudden loss of a much-loved and respected colleague and friend.
"Dr Hughes had worked at the surgery for more than 30 years and he will be sorely missed by the doctors, staff and patients."
Police say the woman arrested will be taken into custody when released from hospital.
