LORRIES worth £20,000 have been bought by Cornwall College's automotive department for students to practise their repair skills.
Trainee mechanics will be able to check brakes, steering, suspension, electrics and maintenance after local company Mark Harvey and Son sourced the two heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) for Cornwall College Camborne.
Current student Martin Gribble, 19, from Camborne, is looking forward to getting to work on the vehicles: "At the moment our studying is quite focused on paperwork.
"Having these lorries to work on will be much more practical and I think we'll all learn more this way.
"I've had previous experience working on coaches and buses but nothing as big as these."
