A NEWQUAY surf shop has said it is to build boards for a club that provides free surfing to young people who face difficulties in their lives.
Cornish surf shop and board manufacturer Adams has teamed up with The Wave Project to supply custom-built boards to its members.

It has also offered to sponsor an appeal for The Wave Project to get a new van to support the surf club.
The Wave Project is a not-for-profit company based in Truro that runs a free surf club for young people who have faced difficulties in their lives, such as mental health problems, disability or social exclusion.
The club is open to young people who have first been through the Wave Project course and then wish to continue surfing with it.
Joe Taylor, the Wave Project's chief executive, said it was fantastic members of the club had progressed to the level where they wanted their own boards and kit.
He said: "It's wonderful to see young people go from being incredibly anxious and nervous about surfing, to requesting their own custom-made board.
"I'm delighted to link up with Adams Surf Boards to enable our members to get boards with the project's logo.
"It will give our surf club members a real sense of pride to be able to go out into the water with their own custom board."
Tom Cullen, from Adams, said: "We're stoked to be working with The Wave Project and to be doing some incredible work with young people using the sport of surfing to improve their wellbeing."
