Firefighters were mobilised after a combine harvester caught on fire at a farm in Rame, near Torpoint, yesterday afternoon.
The alarm was raised at around 4pm after smoke was seen coming from the machine and a section of the corn field it was in had caught alight.
Crews from Torpoint and Liskeard scrambled to the farm.
Upon their arrival they used a hose reel to extinguish a small fire inside the harvester.
Jets were used to extinguish the section of standing corn that had caught alight.
