A woman has been rescued from a cliff edge after being cut-off by the tide while trying to find her dog. The woman got into difficulties after watching her young springer spaniel fall from Orcombe Point near Exmouth on Thursday. Both casualties were brought back to the lifeboat station in the town. Lifeboat manager Kevin Riley said: "The lady did the right thing and didn't follow the dog's path, or she could have found herself in more danger."
