UPDATE: The road has now reopened
GRAMPOUND road is currently closed in both directions following a crash involving one vehicle.
Police, fire and ambulance services were called to the A390 at the turning towards Tregony and Mevagissey at 1.20pm.
A police spokesman said: "A woman driver in her 80s was trapped in her silver Peugeot car. She was released by the fire service and taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital Treliske in Truro by a land ambulance.
"Her injuries are not thought to be life-changing or life-threatening.
"We are currently recovering the vehicle and the road is still closed in both directions."
A spokesman for the fire service added: "A street light was damaged with wires exposed, electrical engineers and Cornwall Council Highways staff were called to make it safe."
