There is a belief that schools should be at the heart of the community and that primary and secondary schools must work together to create a seamless link in a child's educational and social development. The Every Child Matters – St Ives group enabled students from all local schools to participate in a range of Easter activities which aimed to develop many skills and values. At a cost of only £5 per day, pupils from feeder primary schools joined our students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 to take part in a programme which included catering, bushcraft, trail-riding, craft and technology. It is hoped that a similar programme can be organised for May half-term.
