Somerset will continue their quest for Friends Life Twenty20 glory this year at the County Ground in Taunton tomorrow, when they host Worcestershire at 2.30pm.
Despite last night's setback at gome to local rivals Gloucestershire, Somerset are riding high in the 20-over game.
Having ended up as bridesmaids for the past three years, everyone at the club is desperate to claim the silverware on finals day at Cardiff's Swalec Stadium on August 25.
Alfonso Thomas, who has skippered the side throughout this campaign in the enforced absence of Marcus Trescothick through injury, said: "I think we've done really well this season in the Twenty20.
"The squad has been challenged all the way through the campaign and I think the guys have done really well.
"Senior players have come to the party when needed, which always helps, but more surprisingly the youngsters have put their hands up when they have been given their opportunity, which is really good."
Thomas highlighted the fact that the responsibility in each game has been shared, rather than falling on just a few shoulders in the past.
"I don't think that you can single out one person this season. In the past, I think you probably could have singled out Marcus, Kieron Pollard or myself, but this season everyone has come in and made the difference, which is really refreshing, and I think it will really stand us in good stead for against Worcestershire and looking further forward."
