THIS surfing video has gained a Truro media student work within the industry before completing his course.
Ryan Sharpe, 20, is currently studying the Higher National Diploma in Creative Media Production at Cornwall College Camborne campus.
He produced this video and an accompanying magazine called Off The Curb, based around the sport bodyboarding as part of his course work.

Within a few hours of uploading the video online he was contacted by sponsors and bodyboarding magazines asking if they could share it on their channels. Ryan said: "I want my career to take off now. I really enjoy making documentaries and the process you get into with them. "I want to focus on making documentaries about the Cornish lifestyle and I like to dispel certain stereotypes and would like to dismiss the perception that all we do is eat pasties." Ryan's tutors recommended Ryan to work on a creative media project required by the Cornish Sea Salt Company to produce promotional videos to encourage business deals and partnerships. He was also asked to produce a video for a major supermarket as well as other clients to encourage them to sell local brands. Ryan added: "I'm starting to get my name out there and hopefully will be filming for more companies in the future, they're starting to know who I am and recognise my name so that's a step in the right direction." Rory Mason, course manager for Creative Media Production at Cornwall College, added: "This is a fantastic opportunity for Ryan, to be working with companies at this level while he is still studying is great. "It means that when he finishes the course he will already have so much experience under his belt to just throw himself into full-time employment."
