The role of Business Secretary can be very thirsty work, which is why Dr Vince Cable was all smiles when he tasted St Austell Brewery's new tipple.
Mr Cable raised a glass to Cornish companies during a visit to the brewery on Trevarthian Road, yesterday. (Tuesday)
His time at the brewery was part of a two day tour of the South West visiting businesses.
Mr Cable sat down with managing director James Staughton to discuss the role of pubs to the economy and support for landlord and the Government's forthcoming Pub Companies and Tenants Consultation.
He learnt about and tried a 100-year-old stout, which has beeen carefully adapted by head brewer Roger Ryman.
