Two people managed to clamber out of a van after the vehicle flipped over onto its side on a busy road in Somerset. A fire engine happened to be passing the accident scene on the A38, Dunball, at 12.40pm yesterday and the crew stopped to help the driver and his passenger. Paramedics were called and treated the two people at the scene – one was placed on a spinal board and taken to hospital. Fire crews helped paramedics with the injured and made the van safe. The condition of those injured was not known last night.
