The Masked Ball, Porthleven, one of the highlights on the South West party calendar, has confirmed its first acts.
Electronica artists Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs (TEED) have been signed to start the summer soundtrack at The Masked Ball. Stealing the DJ Magazine album of the year with Trouble has iced the cake for Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, in a year that saw TEED tour Mexico, Australia and the USA.
Masked Ball organiser Kelvin Batt said: "Getting Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs down is such a coup. They've been massive in 2012, touring the world and winning some amazing accolades for the debut album. It's not often we get the chance to bring acts like this to Cornwall."
DJ Yoda, former DMC DJ of the Year and master video mixer, has also been confirmed. Listed as one of 'ten DJs to see before you die', Yoda's mash-up style of mixing and scratching live visuals alongside choice tunes and themes from across the decades, have earned him a deserved cult following.
Rave and house pioneer Adamski, fondly remembered for groundbreaking tracks N-R-G and Killer, appears on the bill, adding a degree of old school to the mix.
Electronica wizard Karma Kid has been confirmed for The Masked Ball, having made an impressive imprint on the UK dance scene with singles Try As You May and It's Always.
Kelvin added: "More special acts are being added to the playlist of The Masked Ball. We have some big surprises in the production area, and we're working hard to hopefully make this the best Masked Ball yet."
Masked Ball favourites The Cuban Brothers and The Other Tribe will be returning to the melee, after storming performances at last year's Halloween Masked Ball.
