A would-be traveller abused a member of staff at Redruth Railway Station, when he was told no trains were running.
British Transport Police investigating the incident have released an image of a man who they believe can help them with their enquiries.
PC Wayne Frost said: "A man arrived at the railway station at around 5.15am on November 23, 2012 and became annoyed when a member of rail staff informed him no trains were running.
"The man then became extremely abusive towards the member of staff, swearing repeatedly and making threats towards him.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the identity of the person involved.
"I am now appealing for anyone who recognises the man in this photograph, or who knows his current whereabouts, to contact police straight away, as I believe he will have information which can assist the investigation."
Anyone with information which may assist the investigation is asked to contact British Transport Police on Freefone 0800 40 50 40, quoting B12/WWA of 02/01/2013.
