Fire fighters from Cambourne were called to Wall Road, Gwinear during Sunday afternoon with reports of a vehicle on fire.
One appliance from Camborne attended the incident, and on arrival they found a car well alight.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two high pressure hosereels to extinguish the fire.
The cause was accidental.
