SLEEK-haired burglars went on a rampage around St Austell this week, targeting five premises and swiping 15 sets of hair straightening irons.
St Austell police inspector Stuart Gibbons said the high statistic was "worrying."
The pairs of GHD straighteners, worth £1,500 in total, were pinched from Hair Workshop in Trinity Street between Monday, December 3, and the next day.
In the same time frame, £100 was stolen from the cash box of The Park Medical Centre in Bridge Road, St Austell, after a window was forced open.
There were also three attempted burglaries in the Eastbourne Road area of St Austell.
