Whether it be traditional street parties, record-breaking bunting races or a quirky parade of hay-bale sculpted monarchs, revellers across the Westcountry added their own unique ingredient to celebrations of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee this summer.
And now a Devon museum has unveiled a new exhibition showing how the region has marked royal events, from coronations to jubilees, spanning three centuries.
Tiverton's Museum of Mid Devon Life has opened its new temporary exhibition, Royal Celebrations past and present.
The show is filled with photographs of local celebrations ranging from Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1897 to this summer's events for Elizabeth II.
The museum asked communities across the county to capture their jubilee festivities on film and send in the photographs for inclusion in its galleries.
The resulting images from towns villages and hamlets, offers a unique insight into royal celebrations in the 21st century.
A spokesman for the museum added: "We were delighted to get such a positive response – we have photos from Bickleigh, Black Dog, Coleford, Thorverton and Morchard Bishop on display."
