Somerset Rebels began a busy few days with a 48-42 home victory over the Edinburgh Monarchs.

A 5-1 from Sam Masters and Kyle Newman gave the Rebels an eight-point (40-32) lead after heat 12; Jason Doyle and Jesper B Monberg finished second and third to secure a 3-3 in heat 13; followed by a 4-2 with James Wright first and Newman third for a ten-point advantage.

However Wright retired and Monberg could only finish third in the last heat as the Rebels dropped their third home point of the season.
