A Devon council's proposals to record key meetings, which were sparked by a row over the exact words used by a councillor, have been hit by flooding. Councillors on East Devon District Councils's overview and scrutiny committee (OSC) had been set to debate plans for a new audio system tonight. The authority is considering posting the recordings on its website within seven days. But fears that overnight rain might make travelling difficult prompted councillors to postpone the meeting at the Knowle in Sidmouth to next year, when the meeting will be on January 3.
