Action needed now as new world order is out of order

My recent observations identify what appears to be an unresolvable situation or at least one which won't resolve itself how we want it too.

Recurring financial breakdowns, stop-start recessions, unstable world economies teetering on collapse.

Good to see every country trying to keep each other going, some will no doubt collapse with all the despair that will involve but the major economies have to be kept afloat at all costs or global economic disaster is a certainty, but then its bound to be because world order is actually out of order.

Capitalism, incidentally one of the briefest and least sustainable periods in human history, is about to self destruct mainly because man himself has become blind, greedy and devoid of common sense.

Our leaders, economists and businessmen have not realised the significance that when 10% of the global population own 90% of the world's money, the 90% who have very little don't even have enough to live on. In short, unless money is redistributed (so that capitalists can gradually twist it out of you and I again) the wheel of commerce has ended, there's a piece missing so it is no longer a complete revolving circle.

In Portugal, as homes repossessed due to mortgage arrears cause suicides whilst banks write off their huge losses without a second thought causes understandably militant tendencies.

When an individual can be given a handshake of £450 000 after just 50 odd days in that position, and many multi-national companies with profits of mega-millions pay no tax at all, life at grassroots level seems a bit tough. A them and us society is also potentially very dangerous.

There will always be rich people and if they want to try to keep their wealth conversely the poor must be helped to live at very low cost and the rich must pay a proportionate amount of tax out of their huge incomes.

If not the cards simply will never stack up.

Does no one understand that the materialistic life we all live is doomed as global resources will not be able to provide for much longer?

The key to survival is to rebuild our base industries.

Take agriculture which has been treated with contempt, abused and destroyed over the last 30 years by successive governments and suppliers who have taken every chance of profit. Now with an average age of nearly 60 and despite a very respectable productivity per man unit, it is time for the government to make sure farm running costs are forcibly reduced and horticultural enterprises are encouraged with more manpower for every farm before it is too late. Agriculture is the basis of every global economy provided it is not abused.

Negative and depressing? No way. Fast moving, decisive and time for action.
