Cornwall has been revealed as the ultimate all-round visitor destination at the British Travel Awards 2012, claiming the top spot in a number of categories.
For the fourth consecutive year Cornwall was crowned Best Holiday County, while St Ives scooped Best Coastal Town for the third time.
Cornwall's strengths in online marketing and innovation also won praise, with www.visitcornwall.com taking the title of Best Visitor Guide Website.
The Eden Project claimed Gold for Best Leisure Attraction for the second year running, while the Bronze trophy for Best Heritage Attraction went to the Minack Theatre.
Fal River also took Bronze for Best UK Coastal Town and Parkdean Holidays, which has 24 holiday parks across the UK with eight in Cornwall, claimed Silver for Best UK Holiday Park Operator.
Malcolm Bell, Head of VisitCornwall, the Cornwall Development Company tourism service, said: "As a clear winner, no other destination rivalled Cornwall's enviable success which shows a unique diversity and unwavering quality across the industry.
"Cornwall excels in partnership working and this impressive feat is a collective effort which reflects on the whole industry. Congratulations to Cornish tourism."
Cornwall's multitude of awards were announced at last night's grand gala dinner at the Battersea Evolution in London, which was attended by more than a thousand people from the tourism industry.
More than one million people voted in this year's British Travel Awards, which are widely referred to as the "Oscars" of the travel industry and are the most recognisable and sought-after accolades in the sector.
Joan Symons, Cornwall Council Portfolio Holder for Tourism, Culture and Leisure, said: "These amazing award titles are all the more credible because they are from the people that count, visitors themselves - the nation has spoken and shown its love for Cornwall.
"To win awards in what has been a difficult year is testament to the strength of the tourism industry and offers a fantastic basis for 2013."
Lorraine Barnes Burton, Chief Executive of the British Travel Awards, said: "This year more than one million votes and opinions were recorded to determine the 2012 British Travel Awards winners, so these accolades truly are the benchmark for excellence when it comes to finding out who really is the best in the business of travel for the UK consumer."
