A Dartmoor town promises to be a riot of Christmas colour for its festive late-night shopping event next month.
More than 50 Christmas trees will have been decorated and will be adorning shops in historic Chagford in time for the spree on December 10.
Music, including from the Mosock Bulgarian choir, will entertain visitors, a hog roast and hot chestnuts will help to keep the weather at bay, while Father Christmas will be there to greet children.
The town boasts a highly festive setting, with numerous 15th and 16th century buildings, including the famous octagonal market house.
Billed by the town's own independent shops as a "Shoppers' Spectacular Evening", people will also receive a free ticket to win a cash prize to spend in the New Year.
In addition to the town's array of shops – from galleries to food and fashion outlets – a Christmas Market is also being staged from 5pm to 8pm in the Jubilee Hall.
Extra car parking for the evening is being laid on in the school grounds.
