MEMBERS of Bodmin's Christmas Lights Committee spent Sunday morning putting the festive illuminations up in the town centre ready for Friday night's big switch-on by MP Dan Rogerson.
The festivities will see Fore Street and Mount Folly closed to traffic from 3.30pm until 8pm, with shops opening until late.
Santa's Grotto in the BCA Rooms will open from 4pm and a procession will leave Bodmin Library at 6pm for Mount Folly for the switch-on at 6.30pm.
Music will be provided by Bodmin Town Band, Bodmin College Jazz Band, and the Shipwrecks from Wadebridge. Street entertainers will also feature, and food stalls will be manned by Castle Canyke Scouts and members of Bodmin's Air Training Corps squadron.
