The wife of a Cornish GP has appeared in court charged with his murder.
Marion Siobhan Hughes appeared yesterday at Truro Magistrates Court, in the morning.
The 58-year-old, of Collinge, Trolver Croft, Feock, then appeared at Truro Crown Court in the afternoon.
She was charged with the murder of her husband, Geraint Hughes, known as Gary, who was a GP in Redruth.
Mrs Hughes was remanded in custody. She did not enter a plea or make an application for bail during the Crown Court hearing.
The body of Dr Hughes was found by emergency services at the family home in Feock on Friday.
He was pronounced dead a short time later.
Mrs Hughes was said to have suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital where she was treated before being released into police custody.
Her 60-year-old husband, who qualified in 1977, was senior partner at the Clinton Road Surgery in Redruth.
In a tribute released by police, Dr Hughes' family said they were devastated by his loss.
