A 65-year-old woman suffered serious injuries after being in collision with a lorry in St Columb Major on Saturday morning.
The woman pedestrian was in collision with the 7.5 tonne delivery lorry as it reversed out of Jenner Parc, a residential cul-de-sac.
She suffered serious and extensive injuries and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth where she underwent surgery. The victim, from St Columb Major, remains in intensive care.
The driver of the DAF lorry, a 48-year-old man from Exeter, has been interviewed by police.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision which happened around 11.15am. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference 280 of 27/10/12.
