A sailor was recovering in hospital last night after being rescued at sea off Land's End. The man, who was travelling back to Cornwall from Portugal, was said to have sustained a "bang on the head" although it was unclear if he had any serious injuries. He was rescued yesterday afternoon by Sennen Cove RNLI before spending the night in hospital. A Falmouth Coastguard spokesman said: "He had been knocked on the head and sounded confused, so there were concerns he may have head injuries."
