An investigation is under way after reports that two kittens were dumped from a moving vehicle on a busy road yesterday. Police said they were contacted to say a man was seen driving a red VW Golf on the Penryn bypass at around 9.15am. He was seen to put his arm out of the window and drop two objects. A police spokesman said: "The witness stopped when he realised it was in fact two kittens and tried to catch them, but was unable to and they were run over by the fast moving traffic."
