The Eden Project in Cornwall is encouraging people to take part in a two-wheeled take on a classic tale by following it as the story unfolds on cycle trails overlooking St Austell Bay.
The Adventures of Don Quixote by bicycle is making a return to the clay country this weekend after successful performances in July, with creative workshops enabling the audience to become part of the action.
The promenade-style play takes place with the actors and audience travelling on bike as the story unfolds.
The workshops give audiences the chance to decorate their bicycles, inspired by knights and steeds, for the journey on Don Quixote's adventure.
Nathan Hunkin, clay trails project coordinator at Eden, said "We saw an amazing display of creativity during the performances in July, so we're expecting that this weekend's audience will take up the challenge and become part of this unique play."
The story follows Don Quixote's misguided escapades into the heroic exploits of the famous knights he has been reading about. He brings their stories to life regardless of the consequences, whilst styling himself as the knight of La Mancha, accompanied by his reluctant squire Sancho Panza.
The actors lead the way on their own strange and beautiful custom-made bicycles, which are perfect for children and adults alike to model their own designs on.
There will be a variety of art supplies on hand for the audiences to create their own handsome herd of horses.
Burn the Curtain, based in Honiton, have had recent success touring the unique show at the acclaimed Brighton Festival.
