The organisers of the Gwinear Show reserved special praise for those who braved the wet West Cornwall weather to attend on Saturday.

Despite visitor numbers to the popular show, at Trenawin Farm, in Connor Downs, being affected by the poor weather most classes still went ahead.

The show is famed for its horse section, but also has a growing domestic and dog class, as well as trade and craft marquee exhibits.

In the horse section, Rebecca Storey on Dilan Meiler, won Best Pony in Show while David Curnow on Bon Ami was presented with the Supreme Championship President's Cup. Elsewhere, Zeva the Pointer and owner Julie Woodham were awarded Best in Show in the dog section.

Show Secretary Allison Barnbrook thanked all those who attended and the volunteers who made the show possible.
