A £600 mandola musical instrument was just one of the items stolen during a burglary at an isolated house in North Devon. The burglary took place in Guineaford between 8.45am and 2.45pm on July 18. More than £1,000 worth of goods were stolen including jewellery, cash and a dark pine Fylde mandola, a type of stringed instrument. The intruder gained entry by smashing a window at the back of the house. Anyone with any information about the theft should ring Devon and Cornwall Police on 101.
