There is major disruption at Newquay Cornwall Airport today as the National Air Traffic Control Services (NATS) has experienced technical problems at their Swanwick control centre.
The technical issues have grounded many inbound and outbound flights at Cornwall's busiest airport.
In a statement, NATS said it "is restricting the number of aircraft flying across the south of England and those taking off from airports.
The 7.15am from Newquay to London Gatwick is yet to depart, with the 10.55 to Manchester delayed until further notice.
As of 12 noon, the 11.15 to Liverpool has started to board with hopes that the Gatwick and Manchester flights will leave this afternoon.Newquay Cornwall Airport ask that people check their website for updates as to expected arrival and departure times of all flights.
