These four seal pups looked as if they had never been away as they were reintroduced in to the wild in Cornwall .
After months of rehabilitation at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary near Helston, Axel Rose, Schubert, Kayah and Buster were released at Gwithian beach.
All four had been rescued after being washed up on Cornish beaches, and are part of a total of 42 that have been successfully cared for over winter.
Animal care team leader Tamara Cooper said: "That's fewer than in previous years, but still a heck of a lot of late nights and hard work, so there will be huge sighs of relief and looking forward to a few months of concentrating on our residents.
"At the same time though, every successful rescue gives us all a great sense of achievement and satisfaction, and of course we all get attached to the pups no matter how hard we try not to."
Axel Rose was the first to be rescued by the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) organisation when he was washed up with a badly ulcerated eye on Widemouth Bay on December 12.
Schubert was rescued on January 11th in Padstow with an eye infection.
Kayah was also rescued from Padstow on February 2 and Buster was discovered the next day in Prussia Cove, with ulcers in both eyes and wounds to his head and flippers.
Ms Cooper paid tribute to the BDMLR were orchestrated every rescue.
She added: "Without their enthusiastic help we wouldn't have a hope of being able to get out to every stranded pup and take proper care of those already with us at the same time." The seals were released on Friday.
