BENNICKS, NEWQUAY
If you're animal crackers, you could give a home to some of the charming animals in the Bennicks sale on Monday.
There are examples from Doulton Lambeth, Nao, Beswick and Lladro, featuring animals in one form or another including cats, dogs, owls, elephants, swans, birds and doves.
A pair of Nao owl figures are estimated at £20-£40, a Doulton Lambeth hunting scene jug expects £20-£30, while the two Beswick bird figures could well find new owners at £15-£30. A Japanese chicken condiment set should make another £15-£30.
Also included in the sale on Monday is a small bone carved walnut which could well be cracked for between £30-£50, or maybe the pair of gas wall mount lamps is more to your liking, estimated at £30-£50.
To make sweet music the "Nippy" portable gramophone is a must at £50-£60.
Two mint and boxed Corgi examples will be offered individually with a guide of £25-£40 on each model.
The sale will also feature the complete contents of a four-bedroom house from Gloucester, which Bennicks have been instructed to dispose of. There may well be some bargains to be had from this assignment and it's well worth a view.
And finally, copper and brass horn in the sale could blow you away at just £20-£30.
