More than 2,000 people attended an annual showcase for a Devon college on Saturday which boasted three arenas, including elite horse and rider demonstrations from students.

Visitors to the popular Bicton College Country Fair were treated to a variety of live entertainment as well as stalls and activities designed to reflect the courses on offer to students.

Entertainment this year included action from dog agility teams, arboriculture and tree climbing, animal care and live science as well as sheep shearing and an armed forces drill display.

Meanwhile, a group of fundraisers on the site raised money for Devon Air Ambulance by spending 24 hours in a tree.

New for this year the college held a University Sudy Centre to provide advice on degree courses and funding.

But one of the highlights of the show was the elite dressage to music demonstration performance by students.

Sarah Adam, commercial manager at the college, thanked all staff and students who helped in running the fair.

She said: "It was a good day, lots of people came up and gave me good feedback.

"There was loads to see and the families had a great and the dog show proved entertaining."
