Fowey's RNLI lifeboat was launched in the early hours of yesterday after reports of a yacht drifting out to sea. A resident issued the alarm when he saw a single-masted yacht passing Town Quay and drifting unlit upriver. A total of 15 crew members arrived at the station to help the search from the shore while others searched from the inshore lifeboat. The 22ft yacht Demelza was located on the shore line at Prime Cellars and towed to Berril's Yard.
