Fishermen are preparing to hold a special service at a Devon church. The annual Harvest of the Sea service will take place at Beer congregational church on Sunday, October 28 at 6.30pm. The service, which has been running since 1947, is organised by the East Devon fishermen's association. It is run by the fishermen themselves, and the church is decorated with nets and fishing gear. Supported by Brixham fishermen, this year's address will be delivered by superintendent John Anderson of the Brixham fishermen's mission.
