Pig racing and picnics, as well as great roasts

Events in Devon and Cornwall yesterday included:

Wadebridge: the community's fourth event, including live music

Par and St Blazey: More than 300 attended the with pig racing and magic shows

Roselyn School: Families and people from outside the immediate school family enjoyed a picnic together

Merriford House, Truro: a Big Lunch for adults with learning disabilities, with all people asked to bring something to eat and drink

Torpoint: Locals gathered in the village hall for lunch

Hayle: A small community lunch held in the garden of St Elwyn's Church

Bude: Up to 500 people were expected at the event which included live music

Tregony, Truro: A Big Lunch was held following on from the successful one held last year for the jubilee, including music from local band Creepy Crawlies

Castle Green, Plympton: 150 were expected for the first ever Big Lunch

Ivybridge: the third Big Lunch was held at the MacAndrews Field

Westward Ho!: A total of 28 households were invited for a 'bring and share' tea organised by two local foodbank volunteers

Crediton: A free roast lunch was offered to all who attended, with children's activities including badge-making and games

Honicknowle Youth Centre, Plymouth: Arts and crafts, skate ramps and mechanical bulls included for the community, in the second such holding of the event, organised by young people and workers.

Furse Park, Plymouth: Children's activities included bouncy castles, face painting and art projects

Newton Abbot: Organisers held a Big Lunch in conjunction with Asda at a local school. Teachers, pupils, parents and Asda customers all took part

Plymouth Methodist Central Hall: Plymouth Foodbank held a ticketed event
