A YOUNG girl from Pendeen was chosen to hand the Queen flowers when the monarch arrived on St Michael's Mount.
Nine-year-old Emily Earley, whose 40-year-old father Garry works on the Mount, said her friends and brother were very jealous that she had been chosen for the task.
She said: "It was very exciting to meet the Queen and I was a bit nervous about it.
"She was very tiny actually. She was a very nice person."
When asked what she was going to do for the rest of the day, Emily said: "I am going to keep smiling and remember this all my life."
