Next week the beautiful harbour town of Fowey opens the doors to its annual spring celebration of words and music.
Previously known as the Daphne du Maurier Festival, it may have changed its name this year, but it continues to offer an eclectic mix of high quality performances, talks, workshops, guided walks, river cruises and community activities.
In total there are more than 150 separate events scheduled, starting on Wednesday, May 8 and running through to Saturday, May 18.
Among the names putting in an appearance are electric all-girl string quartet Bond, Ruthie Henshall, YolanDa Brown, 10cc's Graham Gouldman and folk heroes Lau. There's comedy from Josh Widdicombe and Seann Walsh and Tony Hawks, and audiences with Monty Halls, Ken Livingstone, Wendy Cope, Brian Sewell, Adam Hart-Davis, Kate Humble, Robin Hanbury-Tenison and Jonathan Dimbleby. Leading writers appearing include Michael Morpurgo, Joanne Harris, Fern Britton and Kathy Lette.
