Prince Edward visited the Hall for Cornwall in Truro today.
The Earl met staff, volunteers and was given a presentation of the hall's plans for the future. Prince Edward was appointed as Hall for Cornwall's patron in 2007 as part of the venue's 10th anniversary gala.Click here to see a gallery of pictures of Prince Edward's visit.
The Hall for Cornwall has recently teamed up with Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Cornwall to review and improve the Hall's hospitality and catering facilities. To mark the partnership, staff presented the Earl with a cake.
The Earl also visited the venue's coffee shop, but did not have time to stay for a coffee.
Prince Edward is the youngest child from the Queen and Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh. He is seventh in line to the throne.
The Earl also visited Tremough university campus, where he was given a tour of the Academy of Innovation and Research. He then opened the Ruthvoes affordable work and live development at St. Columb.
