AN iconic west Cornwall venue will feature in a prime-time TV programme this weekend.
Viewers of BBC One's Countryfile will be able to learn about St Michael's Mount, Marazion and how the residents are preparing for spring and the start of the all-important tourist season.
The local landmark will have its time in the spotlight this weekend and film crews arrived just in time to capture the mount at its finest.
"They filmed on a glorious spring day, so do tune in and see some of our islanders preparing for spring and season opening, plus some stunning views of the mount, the church on the island's summit and our beautiful cliff-side gardens," said Katherine Kilgour, spokesperson for St Aubyn Estate, which owns and runs the picturesque venue.
Countryfile, which is famous for focusing on "the people, places and stories making news in the British country side", will be taking a closer look at the mount in its Easter Special on Sunday, March 31, at 7pm.
