The former Devon councillor who resigned after talking of his ability to secure planning permission is now to face a police investigation. Graham Brown, who represented the Feniton and Buckerell Ward at East Devon Council, has denied any wrongdoing after being caught on camera in a sting operation touting his services as a planning consultant. The council referred the matter to Action Fraud, an agency appointed by the Home Office. Devon and Cornwall police have said they will look into the issue. An election for Mr Brown's vacant seat is set for May 2.
