Helston Athletic will face holders Bodmin Town in the Carlsberg South West Peninsula League Throgmorton Cup semi-finals after causing a shock by knocking out Tavistock on Wednesday night.
Helston, the division one west promotion hopefuls, won 3-1 against premier division Tavistock at Langsford Park to set up a meeting with Bodmin, who came from behind to beat Saltash United 2-1 at Priory Park.
The other Throgmorton Cup semi-final will be between premier division Elburton Villa, who won 3-1 at Newquay on Tuesday, and division one east side Exmouth, who fought back from 1-0 down to beat Stoke Gabriel 3-1.
Helston's season goes from strength to strength. They are already through to the last four of the Cornwall Senior Cup, where they will meet Newquay at Truro next Tuesday.
And at Tavistock never looked back after establishing a 2-0 lead inside six minutes. A bizarre own goal by Tavistock keper Andy Meads after one minute gave Sid Taylor's side the perfect start and top scorer Mark Goldsworthy doubled the lead soon after.
An Ian Holmes penalty in the 59th minute appeared to give Tavistock renewed hope but Goldsworthy struck his second goal two minutes later to secure Helston's victory.
Bodmin are also through to the Senior Cup semi-finals, where they face Penryn at Wadebridge next Wednesday, but they will know they will have to play better than they did against Saltash.
The Ashes, missing several first team regulars, took the lead at Priory Park with a 39th minute penalty from Ross Saint after Dimitri Kanakha had been dragged to the ground by Huw Morgan.
It was no more than the visitors deserved after dominating the first half, during which they were unlucky not to be awarded another penalty when Bodmin keeper Kevin Miller appeared to upend Aaron Cusack, only for referee Tim Burley to wave play on.
Matt Godfree also missed an early opportunity from six yards, lifting his shot over the bar, as Bodmin made a nervous start to the tie.
Bodmin improved in the second half and were level in the 63rd minute when a Luke Rundle cross from the left picked out top scorer Adam Carter, who headed past goalkeeper Lee Carew from six yards.
Five minutes later Bodmin took the lead when Steve Colwell's corner from the left was touched over the line at the near post by Sam Matthews.
Saltash felt they should have been awarded another penalty in the 72nd minute when Sam Hughes appeared to be tripped, but again the referee waved play on insisting that the Bodmin defender had won the ball.
