Celebrity Katie Price has hit back at a Cornwall councillor who said that disabled children "should be put down".
Collin Brewer, councillor for Wadebridge East, made the comments to a volunteer from the Disability Cornwall charity at an event held at County Hall in 2011.
He has since been dropped from the Independent party, but has refused to resign as a councillor over the remarks.
The model, also known as Jordan, has a son Harvey who suffers from medical conditions such as septo-optic dysplasia.
She Tweeted earlier "Shameful ignorance of Collin Brewer clear for all to see... many disabled contribute more to society than Mr Brewer - ask our Paralympians".
She added "Collin Brewer how would you like to dispose of my son Harvey?"
Brewer, who was interviewed today on BBC Radio Cornwall, said he had "considered resigning" but said the comments in 2011 were made when he was "hot under the collar" and "grumpy".
An independent standards committee ruled at the time that Mr Brewer should write a letter of apology to the organisation, which he did.
His letter read: "I am writing to offer my whole hearted apology for the offence these remarks have clearly caused.
"While I meant no offence by my remarks to you I can see, in retrospect, that they were ill judged and insensitive and should not have been made at all."
A Facebook group called 'Cornwall Councillor Collin Brewer should resign' has had over 1,800 'likes'.
www.thisiscornwall.co.uk's poll has had nearly 2,000 votes, 96% in favour of the councillor stepping down.
