A policeman has been found dead at his home in Plymouth.
Warren Marks, a 42-year-old Detective Constable, was found dead at his home in Coleridge Avenue, Lipson, at around 6pm on Friday.
He leaves behind his wife and two children – an eight-year-old son and five-year-old daughter.
Detective Chief Inspector Jim Colwell said the entire force had been left "very much saddened" by the news.
He said: "We are treating his death as unexplained albeit we are not looking for anyone in connection with his death."
Mr Marks, who has been in the service for over 10 years, was found by a work colleague.
DCI Colwell said: "Warren was a well liked and respected Detective Constable working from Charles Cross CID.
"Our thoughts are with his family at this sad and difficult time.
"The entire force is very much saddened by this loss, and certainly his colleagues, supervisors and managers in Plymouth have been very shocked by the news."
Messages of support for Mr Marks's family have been flooding in on social networking site Facebook.
