British Transport Police have released a picture of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the theft of a passenger's property from a train in Cornwall.
The incident took place near Redruth on November 25, 2012 on the 7.55pm Liskeard to Penzance train.
Investigating officer Det Con Dave Bailey, said: "The victim had placed his suitcase and coat on the luggage rack in the first carriage of the train. "When the train was approaching Redruth station, the man's wife noticed that the case was missing from the rack and was at the feet of a man standing by the train door.
"The victim challenged the man who claimed he had picked it up by mistake before handing it back. "When they returned to their seats, the victim and his wife then noticed that his coat, which contained a mobile phone and car keys, was also missing from the luggage rack.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the identity of the person who stole the victim's property. "I am now appealing for anyone who knows the identity of the man in this photograph as I believe he will have key information which can assist this investigation."
